2025-2026 INTERN FOUNDRY (IF) COORDINATOR
The Intern Foundry (IF) Co-Coordinator is a leadership internship role designed to support and oversee the IF purpose-driven talent development internship program alongside a fellow student co-coordinator. This role provides hands-on experience in program coordination, leadership, and operational support within the Foundry.
Commitment:
Hours: ~12 hours per week
Duration: Mid-August 2024 – May 2025 (38 weeks,~456 total hours)
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Foundry, Dr. Julie Murray-Jensen, the IF Co-Coordinator will be responsible for:
-Marketing and promotion of the IF internship program
-Recruiting, selecting, and training up to 35 student interns
-Coordinating and supporting supervisors and partner organizations
-Providing coaching, communication, and follow-up for interns
-Designing and teaching the pre-internship training program
-Evaluating program success and areas for improvement
-Coordinating with Foundry team members and stakeholders at UNL Honors
-Overseeing logistics and managing day-to-day tasks to support smooth execution and timely completion.
Foundry Operations Experience:
-Supporting daily operations and facility services
-Promoting the Foundry’s mission to Lincoln nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations

Base Camp Foundry (BCF) Co-Developer 2025-2026
The BCF (Base Camp Foundry) Co-Developer position is an internship leadership role that serves with another AmeriCorps post-graduation student on the Base Camp Foundry (BCF) purpose-driven capacity development program. To accomplish this important work, the BCF Co-Developer will work for approximately 12 hours per week from mid-August, 2024 through May, 2025 for a total of 38 weeks or 456 estimated hours (holiday weeks and breaks TBD). The primary responsibility of the BCF Co-Developer position, under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Foundry, is to coordinate every aspect of the BCF purpose-driven capacity development program with duties to include: program marketing; project completion, varying in content from grant-based projects to marketing and data based projects; organization outreach and lead generation; client communication, and follow-up; and end-of-project program evaluation.

Hours and Compensation:
-Approximately 12 hours per week from mid-August, 2024 through May 2025 (an estimated 38 weeks or 456 hours)
-$16-17 per hour
-Work hours are flexible but preferred Monday-Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Position Supervisor: Foundry Executive Director. This position will also work with the Foundry Team – the Foundry Managers (Operations and Marketing), and the AmeriCorps/Base Camp Foundry team members.
Desired applicant attributes:
-Desire to learn about, and serve, small nonprofits as a resource, consultant, and member of their project team when applicable.
-Ability and desire to independently serve on projects and serve on, and with, a small close-knit team at the Foundry Community.
-Committed to learning and growth. Committed to the Foundry mission of “supporting, educating, and developing purpose-driven organizations.”
-Basic computer and strong communication skills.
-Organization and planning to manage multiple projects.
-Marketing, communications, and outreach service experience would be beneficial, though not essential.
-Grant writing and data analysis experience would be beneficial, though not essential.
-Application requirements and/or preferences:
-University of Nebraska-Lincoln student
-Member of, and/or some association with, the UNL Honors program
-Availability approximately 12 hours a week from mid-August 2025 through May 2026 with as many hours as possible completed M-F between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
-Relevant past experience and a strong academic record (preferred)
-A genuine desire to work with purpose driven organizations in Lincoln
