Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties works alongside individuals and families to overcome poverty and build thriving lives. Within its Head Start program, the Parent Place at the Bansal Family Home serves as a hub for family engagement, community connection, and support. As a Head Start Parent Place Intern, you will collaborate with the Communications and Development team and Head Start staff to strengthen the sustainability of the Parent Place by assisting with outreach for funding, goods, and services, and contributing to long-term planning efforts. The Dialysis Center of Lincoln (DCL) provides comprehensive kidney care and education to support patients living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). With more than 35 million Americans affected by CKD and awareness remaining critically low, this project aims to create a series of accessible educational videos that raise awareness about the disease, its risk factors, and effective management strategies. Project Title: Public Policy and Research Intern
The NE Chamber is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team. Under the direction of the EVP of Legislation and Policy, the Public Policy and Research intern will help advance pro-growth legislation that supports businesses & communities. The intern will provide research on policy topics, attend and summarize briefings, and assist in state advocacy meetings with State Senators. After being exposed to a variety of policy areas during the legislative session, the public policy and research intern will be tasked with choosing a policy topic of his/her choice (examples: workforce housing; childcare; small business; taxation) and, under the guidance of the EVP of Legislation and Policy, will prepare a research briefing on the subject to identify: the scope of the issue in Nebraska; what policies could be pursued in the 2027 legislative session or in the interim to alleviate these issues; and identifying relevant legislation that can be modeled from other states.
